Hello everone!

Mum asked yesterday morning why I haven't done my blog. I said thgere is not uch news really apart from the fact that Julia gave me the nicest and thinkest Eatser Egg you have eve\ra seen - thank you but Mum and Dad won't let me eat it!

Ok so yesterdays news is that Mum and I went for a ride in anbulance ha ha! We#ve never done that before.

I fell over in my bedroom and cracked my head ( I really cracked it!!) It started bleeding pretty badly then I was sick (it's alright we got it ALL) so we called the ambulance. They (Dan and Michele) said it was a good call caling them - phew you always worry.

So we went to A&E and got glued up.

All is good don't worry. all is good.

Mum went mad and now there are towels round all sharp corners in my bedroom. I fell over in the bath on Thursday so we have to work that one out next. The life! Haha.

Love

Ali

"Clumsy bugger" were the first words that sprang to mind when reading your blog before work this morning.

I can just imagine the crash, as you're not a delicate little flower. I hope the head feels ok now tho - just take it easy!

Thinking of you and your family lots and lots in Colchester.

Sending lots of Love

J-A

P.s. I'm pretty sure I speak for most people on here - we don't mind if not much has happened, we love to read your blog, but we do understand that you don't always feel like writing it.

Darling Ali
You are so brave - you always underplay the severity of what's happening to you and it's hard to watch you struggle with all this. I should think I did scream-you were really hurt and I was scared you'd done some serious damage given the amount of blood and the way you were crumpled up on the floor. The ambulence crew were great though the ride was a bit hairy and it's not something we want to be doing again thanks.
It was good that Matt B came to see you in the afternoon as he cheered you up enormously and he turned out to be a wheelie good Chorlton wheeler so he's got the job as second reserve!
Please can we have a quieter day today so we can get some rest-these midnight picnics whilst fun are very tiring and we need all our strength right now.
God Bless
Love Mum xxx

ps What do you mean we won't let you eat Julia's Easter Egg-rubbish-it'all nearly all gone as you keep sneaking bits off it when we're not looking!

Dear Ali

You really are having a very hard time and our hearts go out to you. You certainly are being so brave with everything that is being thrown at you but keep up the good fight and you will surely win.

I feel for your mum and dad, as being caring parents ourselves, we know how hard it is for them too seeing you suffer so much.

Don't go falling over anymore Ali, you need all your strength to get better, no more setbacks please, it hurts us too.

Take care and no more bumping into furniture. Keep blogging when you are feeling up to it, we love to know how you are and what you are up to.

Still thing big S H R I N K

All our love as always

Hi Ali - in the wars again! i agree with the first comment that we love reading your blog (More people read it than ever send a comment from speaking amongst our friends) I sympathise with Diana and hope she is recovering from your fall and hairy ambulance trip! Ali you silly billy. NUTting your NOGIN. Were you trying to recreate the turtle scene in Finding Nemo? 'Fin, Noggin, Duuuude'. No playing Bohemian Raphsody in the car then either! Way too much head banging.

Blog comment for mumma... Lummy, never a dull moment! Though many of us on the blog have never met you, rest assured that when we think shrink for Ali, we also hold you and the rest of the Chorlton pit crew in our thoughts as well. Keep on keeping on. x

Good things about today... My friend Gabi has just been told she's got a great new job. I'm going to speak to my Dad on the phone later today and this evening I'm meeting my friend Ali (a girl one this time - Allison in Zürich) to plan our trip to Salzberg. Oh, and they glued Ali back together to blogging standard.

Hey Ali,

Been reading the blog since December but share my granny's general lack of technological competence!

Hope today is improving and the next few days go stormingly.

I've also found a way to slow down time - Put some of your Easter egg next to the clock because when a clock is hungry it goes back four seconds.

Thinking Shrink!

Cheers

Hi Ali

Ouch - that sounds like it really hurt! It must be really difficult to get your head around what is happening and the dizziness etc You mustn't feel that you need to downplay it if in fact you feel like having a bloody good rant or a moment of feeling severly pissed off/sad/confused/sorry etc - it is much healthier! And naturally your natural positivism will always shine through and win the day. And of course it means that we can all lend our shoulders to prop you up again.
Sending you a big hug, lots of shrinking thoughts, a cup of tea and another easter egg!!

lots of love

Hey Ali

You poor thing! And poor mum, she must've been scared! Did you do that just to ride in an ambulance, or where you hoping for a helicopter! I hope you're ok.

As others have said, we love reading your blog, doesnt matter if you don't say much, it's a good way for all of us that are so far away to feel closer to you and involved, as sometimes we all feel a bit helpless.

We all love you ali, and have everything crossed for a good result on thursday (and a good result for "the arsenal" tonight - i have to bloody say that now i am a footballers wife!!! haha)

Anyway, talk soon

I'll try and drop it off at you mum and dad's in the next couple of days. Watch out for the really anoying bloke in the yellow ski suit.

Hi Ali,something about your fall and then your friend Fi's comment about being stuck back together made me think of my childhood....and Humpty Dumpty, who fell down and all the kings horses and all the kings me put him back together again......

change that into the amazing team at the hospital and then your friends and family and hopefully the sticking back together again bit works just as well...

Hey Ali,
Thank you for writing the blog, it's always good to hear from you and I check it regularly to look at the photos & see if you have written anymore. Please keep writing even if it's just to say "hi" and nothing exciting has happened. Although it sounds like you had quite an adventure yesterday! Pleased to hear you've been stitched back together again and no serious damage was done.
I hear Jeanette is coming back to see you today - hurrah! I hope you have a good time together.
I am thinking SHRINK extra hard at the moment and wish you all the best tomorrow.
I am off to help Agnes with the whippersnappers now... all the children have chosen animals they want to be. One little girl was like a jelly fish all day yesterday and at the end of the lesson she said she didn't want to be a jelly fish anymore she wanted to be a shark! We will see today, if she has reached shark status:-)
Loads and loads of love, thinking of you lots, Nix xxx

Ali and poor Mr & Mrs R.

I am led to believe that I was a complete pain in the Arse when I was younger. Nowadays you would have to ask Silvia and I think She would probably agree too! It's not that we mean to be so, it just sort of happens sometimes. Mr & Mrs R, you may have to stretch that enormous patience and Love of yours a little more.
As for you Ali, bloody behave yourself. I know it can be hard at times but even I learned at some stage not to bite the hand that feeds you, otherwise you generally go hungry. Ali, you have no idea in how high esteem I hold you. I can not start to imagine where you are in your head. All I can say is that you are constantly in my thoughts and mind. I make sure that I drink to your health at least once a day. Tell me if I need to 'drink shrink' more.
Stay strong, upright, out of the fridge and full of yourself. As I have said before, the best thing you have going for you is you.
Big Love as always,
Dicky M

Hi Ali,

I can imagine that it hurt and that there was a lot of blood! The glued back together bit sounds great, much better than when Alan Bunyan managed to cut my head open on my Grade 2 tech (Not his fault) but all I remember is the amount of blood that came out of my head and the 13 double blue stitches that I had on my head afterwards!

Don't worry I have still got all of my marbles, or I think that i have??? so you should be ok in that area, even though you would have thought that your head had had enough banging for a wee while, look after it!!!!!!!

I will have my fingers crossed for you tomorrow and will await news on the blog.
Good luck Ali

Lots of love
Sally Lee

PS. Mo is in Andorra in the pissing rain running a ISIA Tech but also sends his love

Is that the same 'dicky marshall' that used to go to HVSU?? Was just reading his message and thinking it can't be, he sounds so grown up and lovely...and then I got to the 'drink shrink' bit and thought yes, it is, but then guess he was always lovely really...Not seen you in years Ali, but it doesn't take away from the good memories of you and I can still tell you're a top bloke from all the wonderful friends you appear to have around you. Must be 20 years since I last saw you, but I will be thinking of you tomorrow, crossing my fingers and of course thinking shrinking thoughts. x x x

Hello Ali,
Just catching up with the blog this week and am so sorry to hear about your 'bump' - I did a similar thing once and know a) how much a head can bleed & b) how sick you feel! Poor Diana and Ian too, it's no fun being mum and dad in these situations.

Thinking of you esp. today and adding weight to the THINK SHRINK movement.

Sending our love,
