Sunday Morning

Bonjour Everyone!

It's 5.30am and we're part of the wide awake club this morning! Yesterday saw the Thomas family come down and visit us as they needed to do some shopping for their Australia trip next month - awesome!

John and I went for lunch together, had a great catch up and that was that. It's just the giddyness for me. Sitiing down I'm fine, it's just up and walking that the problem occurs. As soon as my head isn't spinning I'll be out on my bike and getting fit again. I can't wait. If that is getiing all problem for the moment, then I can deal with it but I am getting tired of this dizzyness as the moment. I hope it goes.

Mum and Dad have been great! I've got clean windows all round te apartment and clean floors, new flowers in the window boxes and new lamps by the beds oh! and a new microwwave!

It's always great having your Mum and Dad over.

Today is a very chilled out day - I don't think we'll even leave the apt.

Love

Ali

Morning mate,

I am off on bike with Tim P this morning, so we'll put in a couple of miles for you! Keith won't be coming - he is a Barnsley supporter so probably still pissed from last night.

Have a great day. Don't forget to get up to the museum and see the fascinating exhibition of old fishing artifacts from Lac Annecy and lots of old dusty stuffed animals..

Great to chat yesterday and hear you being so perky.

Love to you and your Ma and Pa.

Hi Ali

The photos you have posted are great and little Archie is just gorgeous. Lake Annecy looks as beautiful as ever, you couldn't wish for scenery any better than you have there.

Your mum and dad are obviously enjoying their stay and giving you some of their special TLC. Your mum is just like me, cleaning, dusting, tidying things up and making the place homely. When we visit Sarah and Dan we work ourselves into the ground sometimes but love every minute of it. Their lives are hectic and they need some help here and there.

The weather in Annecy looks calm and peaceful, it is here at present but we believe it to be the calm before the greatest storm of the winter strikes tonight apparently. Fingers crossed it doesn't wreak havoc.

Take care Ali, we are still thinking shrink in the hope that your dizzyness lets up. Enjoy your loving family and friends. Keep smiling.

All our love as always

hi ali, two blogs for the price of one to catch up on, always a treat! Can i let youinto a little secret? Even 'normal' people sleep during the day! We call it 'napping'. Being as busy as you were with New Gen you'll never have discovered it, but most people do it, when you feel tired and the sun's shining through the window, you make like a cat and drift off. So sleeping in the day is ok! (hey that almost counts as a poem!) When you're next in meribel Dave and I are going to make you a super get well juice as we're really into them at the mo'. So the new thought is drink think shrink....with all my love Janey xx

Hi Ali

A spring clean makes things feel much better doesn't it? We've just taken part in our village spring clean (otherwise known as picking up litter!). Just need to tackle our own house now...

Still thinking and praying about you. Give our love to your super Mum & Dad.

Hi Ali

So glad to hear you are having a few little victories every - they will add up to winning the war!

re sleeping - just make gradual changes eg cut 15 mns off your morning sleep every few daysand go to bed ten mins later in the evening - do it until you hit the right balance with daytime and nighttime sleep.

Hi Ali! How about this for a daft suggestion? A static exercise bike!? I know your not up for wobble ball or slack line yet; but a firmly anchored bike, lots of imagination and your favourite music may help to keep your bits ticking over, prior to that "first real bike ride". Keep on keeping on! Awrabest.

Hello Ali,

If you were over here you would stay in doors, bit windy as they say! Anyway after the Chelsea result I have banished myself to the NEC in Birmingwrong for 5 days.. What a punishment... And I lost 4-0 playing footy saturday and England were rubbish at rugger. . Gloom gloom, get your self fit so we can have a scrap over footy next time I see you.

Up your Arse.

Hello mate,
Sorry for not blogging in an age but we've been on the road and then straight back into the routine of work on our return to blighty. Also we were gutted not to catch up whilst we were in France but time anda sickness bug conspired against us, but I hope you got our texts and our thoughts are with you. Good news today was a phone call from Elaine at Arsenal to see how you were doing and wanting to know when you would be back to go on your visit. She asked me to send on good wishes from her and everyone at Arsenal and that your name is still top of her list. Well take care of yourself and keep enjoying your holidays, "Thinking Shrink" as always.

Morning Ali,

Great to read the blog & catch up on your progress.

I think your parents are leaving today? I hope they have a safe journey home. They're probably really sad to leave but I know Jeanette arrived last night so you will definitely be well looked after & not eating any chocolate or puddings - you are naughty!

Brichie came over for supper last night & we were both talking about you & Jeanette...your ears should have been burning! All good stuff I promise.

Anyhow, it got me thinking (dangerous stuff) and I wanted to write a little message to Jeanette...almost like her own blog. I just wanted to let Jeanette know that we are here to support her as well and she is being fantastic, really honest, keeping us all up to date with any news and being positive. You're an awesome couple & I know that together you'll think shrink!

Have a lovely few days in Annency. See you soon.

Love,
Nix x

Hi Nix,

Thanks for that! It's so lovely to know you're all there - we have such amazing friends, we are very lucky.

It's peeing down with rain here in Annecy so hopefully that means snow in Meribel...?
