Boxing day eveninig

Happy Boxing day to you all.! We're feeling a little bit under the pressure now because Simon and I worked out how to put a counter on the blog and we were blown away by how many hits we've been having. It's really very humbling that you all log in and see how we're getting on.
How do we feel today? Brilliant! Jeanette came and stayed last night after Christmas with her family so we sort of had a full Rainback house...brilliant.
I still wake up drenched in sweat but that's the pills. My balance is surprisingly good and all that leaves me is my fitness which I'm ready to start getting back.
Jeanette and I had a very good friend come and see us today, Mark Birch. He's a good skier and is training with New Generation this winter. I'm so excited for him that I really want to get back out to the Alps and help with training (it's my job!)
So, with regards Mr Buzzymachine my sister in Law Jo, is taking me tomorrow for my zapping. Because she's a nurse she will help by asking questions . I can't wait because every treatment is one step closer to getting better. I asked the radiographers to tell me the exact time that I'm being zapped and now, for that 10 second blast either side, I can hear it and imagine it shrinking my tumor. It's working, I know it is. It has to. It will. Come and help me by imagining that it's working because it helps so much.
One final thing, the added picture is when we went heliskiing with the New Generation in Italy a couple of seasons ago. Times were carefree then. I'd just hopped out of the chopper with a few of the lads and snapped this photo of the next chopper coming in. Really exciting. I hope to be back there again soon.
A friend wrote to me early on...."sometimes I find it is when you are at your weakest, that you can be at your strongest"
Love to you all

Ali

ps. Best thing that happened to me today..... Seeing my nephew Charlie dressed up in his fireman's outfit (the one a bought him for Christmas!) He loves it.

What's yours?

Well, here it is Boxing Day evening. Twenty-four hours ago, on Christmas Day evening, after all the family had left following a Christmas lunch "blow-out", in a relaxed mood we tried to send you our best wishes, however ......... technology defeated us!!! So, this is our second attempt to wish you all of the very best for the festive season, and lets hope that 2008 sees you back on the ski-slopes raring to go!!
All good wishes and kindest regards

Wig No.2 Ali! Reminds me of when you were a kid and had blond curly locks! You look like Luke Wilson in Legally Blonde in wig No.3.

Glad you all had such a good Christmas and you're looking forward to another zapping.

Lots of Love

You seem most content with option three...the bob, and it suits the shape of your face.. and your Dad suits the one on the same pic very well! hahahah! well i'm a serial blogger and i can't keep up with your entries!! it's great to hear you're feeling better and your positivity jumps out and gives me a spring in my step! well done!
Seeing as you ask.. the best thing that happened to me the last couple of days is... well I snook home to see the family for Christmas - a 48 hour dash - but it was sooo worth it. I decided I'd eat as much as I could to pack on the pounds to make you feel better (I hated every minute!! :))
As far as today goes, I took Valerie in to Eurotyre with a flat tyre and they fixed the puncture and put it back on for FREE! Cadeau Noel they said. I drove away with a fuzzy feeling about how lovely some peoople are! So there you are....good things are happening all over..! Lots of love Janey xx

Hi Ali

Warren’s sister here, Lysandra.

Remember me from your very early New Gen days? You probably remember my children better, Charlie and Robert. You were their ‘Cool Dude’ ski instructor for a number of years. They always looked forward to our annual ski holiday in Courchevel and lessons with New Gen, as long as you were their instructor! However, at 18 and 16 they are hardly children now.

I have been visiting your blog since ‘Day 2’ and each day I am amazed by your courage, bravery, determination and love of life. I wish you well for 2008 and hope you are back on the slopes soon.

Love and best wishes to you, Jeanette and your family.

Lysandra, Jeremy, Charlie and Robert

Hey Ali,

We have been reading your blog but had to ask Jo how to make a comment, Scarey huh!! Just wanted you to know that we think about you every day, you are such an inspiration. Your personality shines through all the crap that you have to deal with at the moment,. Keep positive, 'a goal a day will keep you sane' - sounds like a challenge!
Glad you had a great christmas with those gorgeous nephews of ours, are'nt we lucky!! Next will be New Years eve, - hope you have something fun planned!
Take it easy Ali, big hugs, Jen and Jason xxxxxxxxx
ps it has to be option 2 - I think I remember Jo with a similar style at some point!! x

Hi Ali, empathise with the fireman suit - we bought our hephew a fireman kit - he wouldn't go anywhere without it Christmas and Boxing Day.

Amazing how many fires he found in our house when they were staying !

1 week 'til I start the Gap in Meribel - still expecting to see you out there.

Give our regards to the Buzzymachine and take care
