Saturday Morning

Hey folks, thanks for joining the blog. I've got a treat for you this morning in terms of a scan of my brain so you can actually see the tumor! So, looking at the piccie, the whitish.greyish circle in the centre is my brain stem. It should be all white but it's not because the tumor is there. The darkish patches are where the die that the thry injected shows up the tumor. It's a really awkward place which is a shame. They can't operate because the Brain Stem is such a delicate place. So, really, what we have to do is hope that the Radiotherapy shrinks the tumor. Every time I go and lie under the machine I just imagine the rays shrinking it. I need you to do the same. Please!

So, every day I just want you to imagine that tumor shrinking. Please do. It will really help me!

The lovely piccie underneath is of Amanda my brilliant doctor and Alison my fantastic and all caring nurse. Please forgive Alisons hair, she didn't have time to do it!

Massive thanks for my brother taking me up and asking questions and giving me the support that I need for him. I really do have a great team around me. Thanks Si.

Love
Ali

Hi Ali,
we read your blog everyday, it is nice we can stay in touch even from the other side of the world.
We are so happy you are being so strong and you are doing so well in fighting this tumor.
You have so many people fighting with you, everyone wants so much for you to come back to your usual form. You'll be great soon.
A big hug from Catherine and a little smile from Benni, he will love to meet his uncle Ali soon.
Have a great New Years Eve, with your lovely family and friends. Ciao
G

Good morning to you. You are up early this morning and on the ball. Thanks for the piccie. From the moment you put this piccie on the screen I know it has already shrunk. Your support team (of course two lovely girls!) look brilliant. Take care mate and have a brilliant weekend. Love and miss you Carolyn, John Lotti and Tilda.
Lotti asked yesterday if she could see Uncle Ali soon. The answer was of course, he will be back in France in no time.

Wishing really hard that your tumor will shrink to nothing. With the help you have got, you, if anyone, can do it!

Greetings from Le Pre, love from Karin, Bernie & Nicki xxx

Hi Ali

Good to see you are in such a positive frame of mind. The Osman clan are all firmly in the 'think and shrink' team so that's a whole wave of positive thoughts concentrating on helping to reduce this thing. Along with the support of your family and many friends plus the brilliant treatment you are receiving I know you will win this fight.

Good luck to The Arsenal today - think they kick off at 5.15 against Everton.

Eight of us are off to Courchevel January 26 flying out of Bournemouth. You will be in our thoughts and hopefully it won't be too long before you are back on the slopes yourself.

Take care mate.

Cheers
Tony

Ali stands tall, strong, a winner.
Tumour shrinks, shrinks, shinks.
Ali is tough, unyielding, a winner.
Tumour shrinks, shrinks, shinks.
Ali shines bright, brilliant, a winner.
Tumour shrinks, shrinks, shinks.

Ali remains resolute, courageous, a champion.
Tumour is weak.
Ali is powerful, robust, a champion.
Tumour is weak.

Ali heads to victory.
Tumour is set for defeat.

Dear Ali,

I'm reading your blog every day and sending you the strongest shrinking vibes. Do you think it works on hips and bums too? If so, I could use a few back!

We all care so much about you so thinkin' shrinkin'

Lots of love,

Jane-Anne and all the Halls.

P.s. best thing that happened to me to today was hearing from an old friend who's coming to visit tomorrow. :)
