Happy New Year and.....THINKSHRINK!

Hi folks

This is by no means a cop out but I've had a buzzy treatment today, come back and slept for 4 hours. We're just off out to our friend Philips' for New Year so not much has changed. I do know that I never wanted to wish away time and I truly don't. We are looking forward to starting fresh tomorrow morning with 2008 and as many positives as we can. I was thinking of 2007 and the first thing that comes to my mind are when Jeanette and I got engaged, living in our lovely, lovely home in Annecy in the summer, seeing Genesis in concert in Lyon, skiing in Zermatt on holiday, staying at the Chateau du Berne in Provence, going to the Monaco Test with my Dad, seeing my nephews playing at their new house in Poole, learning how to sail in Greece with Jeanette and all the dinner parties with our friends. It was a brilliant, brilliant year. I've never wanted to wish away a year and say that I can't wait for the next one to come and WON'T DO THAT TONIGHT.

I very much wish that we can spend some of our coming happy times this coming year with YOU. I very much do.

I wish you everything you hope for this coming year.

Happy New Year

Love

Ali

Hi Ali,
happy New Year to you and Jeanette.
It is a beautiful 1st jan morning here in Piha NZ.
I just got back from a surf, and while I was getting trashed by the waves, all I could do is shrink as much as I could and roll in a ball holding my breath under water for way too long, no kidding, as you know I'm still pretty rubbish at surfing and Piha is not place for useless surfers..
Anyway just to let you know that is exactely how your tumor is feeling right now, it's getting hammered and it can't hold its breath forever.
Catherine and I would love if you guys could come here for a holiday sometime,...maybe honeymoon.....?
...start planning, this is an umbelievable place, you'll love it.
Have a great New Years Eve
ciao

Hi there our dear friends Ali and Jeanette. I was hoping to be the first to wish you Happy New Year on the blog but should have put my champagne down a little earlier!!!
Sitting here with JOhn and his brother David listening to them talking about our next car!!!( you would laugh lots at the conversation because we certainly not going to be known as the Thomas family who drive a cool car)John´s comment then was you would be outraged at what we are thinking about buying!!!When we purchase our really ucool car sometime in 2008 we will honour you with a trip around Annecy.
As you know life is what you make of it and Ali you are the one person we know who grabs life by the goolies and lives it to the fullest. You packed so many wonderful exciting things into 2007 the best being your engagement to Jeanette. 2008 will be bigger and better because you will seize every opportunity possible and the best thing will be your marriage. WE can´t wait for our next dinner party together and when we move into the new part of our house we want you both here to drink lots of yummy champagne to celebrate new beginnings.
Love you lots, Carolyn and JOhn.
THINK SHRINK, we know its working.

It really has been a roller coaster year! We thought we'd packed a lot into 2007 - moving twice, buying a new home, moving to the beach, but our lives are never a patch on the excitement that always fills yours.

2008 will be great! Just for starters there's a wedding to plan and I am gagging to finally get 'those' skis on Charlie and seeing you both snow-ploughing your way down the slopes! Imagine the grins on his cheeky chops and yours and ours!

Dorset will be waiting for you too, just as soon as the plaster and paint dry we hope we'll see you both back here for barbies, skinny dipping and kite surfing, and if I ever let your brother do the boat thing maybe you could whizz down in your Dino and show him how it works!!

Take care of the two of you and let’s get this party started.

With our love Jo,Si,Charlie & Archie xxxx

Its 5am, i've spent the night dressed as a 6ft duck(Top Gun Party A.K.A Goose!), I'm drunk, you know how i (WE) roll. We've all 'Think Shink' all night. Arsenal for the triple in 2008 and you can have a go (again) at wining a downhill against the mighty fatnick (its all about forward momentum). 2008 will be everything you (pigeon) and jeanette hope for. i love you.

fatnick.

Dearest Ali

Here's hoping for your best year yet-may it bring your hearts desire and continuing happiness for you and Jeanette.

You have so much to look forward too and a wonderful wedding to organise so 'GO MAN GO'. You and Jeanette make a fantastic team so there's no doubt that together you'll succeed and beat the beastie within.

We have the Rainback Roundup to plan too so put on your thinking cap(don't know about Euro Disney this year) and give us something else to look forward to.

With all my love to you always

Hi Ali.
Happy, HEALTHY and prosperous New Year to you and Jeanette. With the circulation of your blog to something approaching the Daily Telegraph with a global audience I have to be careful what I say – we have over the last few weeks looked back over the years to so many highlights with great memories Over the years you have achieved so much and we are so proud of you. Now we look forward to creating so many more. Think Wedding, Think Ashridge, Think Qualifying Monaco, Think Murciélago (You Si & I have to do it), Think Oasis (La Napoule) and you can add another hundred and achieve them all. In another few weeks you can say goodbye to the Buzzymachine and move on to the next stage. ‘DOIT’. Lots if love POPS

Happy New Year Ali & Jeanette.
We hope that 2008 brings you happiness and a new lease of life, Think Shrink!!!! From now on you only have to think that things can only get better, live life to the full!!!

I was skiing the bumps this afternoon and told the kids that they had to say Shrink everytime they hit a bump, we skied loads, so that Tumour should be on it's way out now!!!!

Keep up the good work on the blog, as this is my main highlight of going on the computer everyday, I look forward to it.

Sending you lots of good thoughts from Morzine,
Love,
Sally & Mo

Hello mate
I am working in one of our chalets at the moment and they had one of those wish lanterns.
I wrote that you would make a great recovery and be out here soon.
We lit it, and sent it of. It flew all the way to the dam from Le Lac !!
The best thing i have seen.
Keep on keeping on Ali see you soon

Tune for today.
