Hi everyone,
Not much to report I'm afraid other than my lovely Sister in Law took me up for treatment, we managed to grab a quick soup from Hampstead then rushed down the hospital to wait for 40 mins for treatment. It's really nice in the waiting room to hear how many treatments people have left and how happy they are when they go. I don't mind it, although I'd prefer to be in France and my countdown or treatment is zero.
Quick zapping, home and I managed, for the first time to get on my bike and do 10 mins. I was so happy that I've had a photo taken beside my bike with Jo. I'm going to do the Time Megeve Mont Blanc next June. My good friends John, Dougie and Giles are going to come round with me and keep me on the straight and narrow. Last yeat it took me 5.5 hours. I've done 10 mins training. Bring it on!
Have any of you seen the counter at the bottom of this page?
Love to you all
Ali

Ali,
Happy New Year! I hope you've managed tp fly the remote control chopper-I gave the same thing to my Dad but at 76 he does not have your manual dexterity and has crashed landed a few times. (Mind you, I am sure you won't right it of like I did to your plane above 1650 in summer 2004.)
Ali, it's agreat blog but I have to mention the grammar! For example, it's "John and me" not John and I! Keep up the great work and make sure you are giving Jeanette the attention she deserves! See you very soon. Love to you and all the family, David and Jo.
beautiful!!! 10 mins more than me al... you're looking pretty sharp too, hair same length as mine, maybe longer. am liking the over-the-knee kit, could do with some myself....

Hi Ali,
Just spent a day in the car going down to see Mistress's Mum and Dad in Old Peoples' Home, and back. I had a quick rabbit-chase and saw some ducks. They were on the other side of the lake so I left them alone. They dodged a bullet there.
I'm coming to see you tomorrow, so lay in some extra grub.
Dino xx
Bloody brill, good work Ali. I am impressed with the glass house your bike is taking pride of place in!!!Oh sorry I think you Brits call it a conservatory or is it a conversatory where you talk a lot!!!(the latter being John´s input)
The hit counter is awsome. You have to get well soon because you have so many friends who just want to be with you.
HI Jeanette, lots of love to you.
Take care mate and talk again soon.
Love CArolyn and John.
Hi Ali,
just finishing off some stuff in LP office before big day tomorrow going to Verbs to see your team over there (after obligatory coffee stop in cham first). the cycle race sounds cool, need another roadie...?! Like dougs your 10 minutes ahead of my cycle training too. Keep it going Ali, we won't mind bringing up the rear!! Lots of love, Tom
Alistair keep up the good work...
Went to Greolieres les Neiges today nearest station to the cote d'azur, rubbish for skiing (too low) but great fun with our 4.5 year old raphael..... I'm even scared of a 36 euro plastic sledge, never mind a snowboard....
It is a very beautiful area all the same
God bless you & Jeanette & mum and dad
ps you & simon look sort of ok with the the wigs, Ian however looks fantastic (the first photo)

Good work Al!
I love the fact that even with the daily zapping, you've still got more energy than me and fatnick put together!! Winner!!
Keep the blog coming, I'll keep trying to phone you at the most awkward moments possible!
love from Hong Kong,
rich and lindsey
Hi Ali, wow i'm impressed with the 10mins bike training. That's 10mins more exercise than i've done for a long time (better stop eating all the Christmas chocolate hadn't I). Sooo pleased you had a great christmas and I hope the new year brings you lots and lost more good times. Lots of love, Simone x
PS. I was number 573... and 574
Hello mate,
Great to see you've got back on bike. Like the others, that's 10 minutes more than me (roads too icy and all that.......)
I'll join you on Megeve ride as Lanterne Rouge/ Domestique.
Catch you later,
Philip
PS Pic us at top of Ventoux. Happy happy days!!
Stop teasing us all.....putting pictures of yourself in lycra on there indeed. The blog counter's going to go through the roof!
PS I hesitate, but I simply HAVE to mention that 'John and I' IS correct and 'John and me' is not. So fret not ,your grammar is spot on my love. Not that I want to turn this blog into a grammar discussion board.
Keep up the bike training you're putting us all to shame! I'd better get off my lardy arse then and do some exercise! Janey xx
Ali,
Great to see that you are keeping busy. A ten minute bike ride is horrendeous to me let alone a 5 hour one. Have enjoyed reading your blog, its been emotional and very amusing.
Keep looking after yourself.
Are thinking about you.
Love, Tracey @ le Ski xx
Hi Ali,
Just thought I'd let you know that Mark finally proposed to Susie this afternoon, she said yes, i said about time!
I thought you wouldn't want the wigs as they would slow you down on the bike.
Cheers,
Rob
Ali!
Looking great in Lycra. The wigs are awesome either!
I do need one of these. I'd prefer to be blond :) I have two wigs from our party, so the green is yours...
Keep on, mate!
Love
Ilia.

Hi Ali
Enjoying the blog and all the comments, especially those ex-HVSU guys. Great to see the progress you're making. You're still very much in our thoughts & prayers. We're not skiing this season :-( but I've told Claire that I might have to come and check out your form as soon as you get back out there - well a man can try and blag a ski holiday, can't he??! Can you believe it's 20 years since Andorra '88(??!!). Keep on zapping!
Love from Ewan & Claire
