Ali is back home

Hi,

Ali is really tired at the moment so he wanted me to let you all know that he arrived home yesterday after a smooth journey. A massive thanks to Phil who embarked on the roadtrip with Ali and delivered him safely back to the Alps.

You know when you speak to someone on the phone and you know their smiling and happy, that's what I felt yesterday and certainly the best thing that has happened to me over the last few days. We are all hoping and praying that he gets better in France.

Ali hopes to be in touch shortly, watch this space!!

Live strong

Si

Hi Ali

So pleased that you and Jeanette have arrived safely in to Alps and I hope too that you are enjoying beautiful mountain sunshine to speed up your recovery, nothing like the mountain air, sun and snow to make one feel a whole lot better. All our love as always

Hey Ali
So glad to hear that you are back where you belong. Can't wait to hear you put into words how you felt on the approach home. I remember when I was younger and I used to go away to Uni or abroad travelling, the feeling I got as the bus pulled back into my village and I knew I was almost home and back among my good friends. For me it's like excitement, nerves, anticipation, butterflies in the stomach...actually doesn't sound all that pleasant, but it is.

Make sure you breathe in plenty of that fresh mountain air and think of it as shrinking medicine. My dad used to send me to the bottom of the garden and order me to take 20 deep breaths when I turned up to work for him 'like a half shut knife', and this never failed to revitalise me for the day ahead, especially on cold, crisp mornings. It is one of those kind of days today at Cairngorm. Sun splitting the, sky frost on the grass and the trees. So the best thing that happened to me to day, is yet to happen, a nice long walk around the Glenmore forest.

I look forward to reading what the best thing is that happened to you today.

Lots of love and best wishes and good luck to you both for the wedding plans and the forthcoming nuptials. Stay strong.

Hey Ali and Jeanette!
Welcome back in the Alps! Blair and I would love to see you sometime, but we´ll leave it up to you when you feel strong enough. I´m sure you have a lot of catching up to do with a lot of people! Ofcourse you´re always welcome in Val d´Isere if you are up for that. We´ll keep in contact. And for now; enjoy! Hope you feel better soon.
Lots of love,
Blair and Marije.
