Bomjour everyone!

I've had a lazy day today. I fact I've done nothing. I woke up at 2am,wrote my blog, watched a bit of Heros then tried to sleep again but no joy oh these steriods!

I've not left bed today, it's funny I know I should walk or at least do something - it's instinct but in fact it must be my body saing hold up - wait a bit and rest. So I am.. I actually have got up don't worry!!

Tomorrow Bernie is taking me to Meribel as New Generation have a small mid season party. I can't wait to see my friendsa agaim.

So,It should be fun tomorrow

Love

Great to read your blogs mate. As the days draw out and the weather improves I am seriously missing the Alps - we'll have a ski together next season. Say hello to Bernie and give Jeanette a big hug from us. Jo sends you a big snog. Enjoy the party tomorrow.

Hi Ali ! A step back is just preparation for a stride forward. Keep on steppin' and stridin' on. Good to read your progress. Still thinking SHRINK! Awrabest.

Hey Ali,

Just to let you know that I'm still thinking shrinking over in Peisey.

Take care of yourself and send a Big Hello to Martin and Deirdre for me - you're in good hands.

Oh, and my happy moment was buying my first set of skis!! I said it would never happen, and I HAVEN'T converted - but my board has been gathering a little dust...

Lots of positive thoughts coming your way.

Hi Ali,

It’s Pamela Robb, I was in the Scottish Team when you were training for your equivalence; you might not remember me but I just wanted you to know I am thinking of you. I heard what was happening from Alison Culshaw and Amanda Pirie and just finished reading your blog.

Your strength of character is inspirational! Being so strong can only bring positive results. I’ve had a tough few months but nothing compared to you! I was paralysed from the waist down in a bus crash, I am very fortunate as I have gained some strength back and I am learning to walk again, all be it extremely slowly. But it not about speed it’s about persistence and patience. Just take it a day at a time!

I am giving Reki a shot; it helps on more of an emotional side. Doctors will give you pills to make it better but can’t give you what your skis can – a bit of peace and perspective – Give it a go (if you’re not already) I would never have believed in that sort of thing before, but you’ll give anything a go if it might help you!

Please send my love to Deidre and Martin, I can’t think of anywhere better to recover.

Good luck ‘Super Ali’!

Love

Pamela x
