Hello everyone!!!

I've got a bit of a headache, my hair has fallen out, my nose is numb, my mouth is really mettallic, I've put on a stone - we measured my waist, it's a metre round and my leg and arm muscles have wasted away. Do I care?

I'm home. I don't care because I'm happy at home.

The Farewell team (Rachel, Carolyn, John, Martin, Deirdre, Nix, Tom, Dinga amd Phil) came to visit us last night and have dinner. Martin cooked a wicked chilli and Carolyn cooked an awesome date pudding. oh, not to forget Nix and her salad - thank you.

I've been feeling a bit dizzy, giddy and generally out of balance. Jeanette will not leave me on my own when she goes to work. So, I'm going to stay with Martin and Deirdre for a few days and I can't wait!!

It just leaves me to say a huge thank you to my good friend Phil. from both Jeanette and I.

Thanks Phil (I found the chocolate!!!)

love to you all

ali

Great to hear that you are back at home safely, Ali, and that the French think shrink team have taken on the baton. The sun has been shining back in England and we are thinking about you.

Hey Ali - there's nothing quite like home is there. Pity the phone kept cutting out the other day. Probably did not help that we were both travelling down motorways on opposite sides of the globe. Expect another call at 6am in the next few days.

Hi mate,

Get plenty of rest and eat Dierdre's home cooking, not shedloads of chocolate. Soon, the only clothes you will fit into will be your Lycra and that is a horrible thought.

Enjoy that wonderful Alpine clear blue sky and fresh air. England has reverted to grey and damp - so different to the view from Les Allues.

You have a great bunch of people around you out there, so use them all you can to help you rest and let your body mend so we can all have the old Ali back again. The more you rest the quicker you will recover, even though it goes against your Jack-in-the-box nature.

Love to you and J,
xx

Ali boy,
Great to hear you have made it safely back to civilisation and can at last have roll ups and black coffee for brekkie.
Don't worry about lack of hair, you have full access to my wig collection and Katie is going to lend you some clothes.
If I were you I'd lay in bed and take the odd call (much like N.G.).
Hope you liked the nonpc comments(sorry)but as they say... (I won't say it) but any complaints can be sent to the NG office.
Lots of Paninis and Mutzig will get you through.Take care.
Love,
The Ginger Prince.x

Hi Ali,

Charlie here from Jacks and Evolution. I haven't been based in Meribel this season, I went out to Meribel last week and only just heard about what you guys have been going through.

Zoe sent me the link to your blog and I have spent the last hour reading through the whole thing. It is truly inspirational. I believe that you will beat this thing and you will get your health and fitness back. I am thinking shrinking.

Looking forward to the time when you will be back enjoying the powder on the mountains.

All the best to both of you
Charlie

P.S. In the blog you were talking about the Old Albanians rugby team. Did you go to St Albans School, I was there 93-98, living in Welwyn Garden City at the time.
