Tuesday Morning

Bonjour everyone!

Sorry for not blogging for ages. I've been having so much fun and being looked after tremendously well by Martin and Deirdre. I have to do something about the photo of me that Martin posted - I 'm sorry but I do look like a county bumpkin. You'll be pleased to know that I have had a proper wet shave (it hurt like hell because Chris's blade was blunt).

Days go like this at the moment:
Wake up at 3am sharp. Fidget for an hour. Decide to watch a movie (watched Million Dollar Bay this morning - Excellent!). Then watch news till 08.30. Martin comes in with a cuppa and then we are up! Martin, Deirdre & I have brekka which consits of muffins, porridge & orange juice. See, I told you I was being looked after. Do my relaxation exercises, then back to bed. 2 hours sleep then up for lunch. All healthy. Out for a stroll in the sun and a hot chocolate somewhere in the village. Then back to bed. Up again for dinner and one of Travis's desserts.... Luverley!!. After that it's back to be until 3am.

I've still got a numb face and I still can't see properly so I've had to up the steroids to 14mgs. Damn. Not to worry Jeanette is coming to the chalet this evening Yippee!

Love Ali.

Hey Ali,

Good to read your blog today - we miss you when you don't write but do understand that living life is far more important than writing about it.
Glad to hear you've shaved the face fuzz.
Very jealous of the hot chocolates. I'm drinking one now but I'm sitting in an office doing numbery things not strolling around an alpine village enjoying the sunshine.

I'll think of you when I'm watching the surfers on Polzeath beach at the end of the week.

Hello Ali.
I tell you what, it's so good to hear you in such good spirits and as positive as ever. Also very good to know that you are back at home in the Alps, relaxing, chilling and mending you.
I am sitting in Le Grazie trying to finish up my job properly and sort out my 'stuff' here so I am free to come back to the UK and to my boat with a clear head and conscience. I can't wait, but have to be patient and do things right (and so do you my friend).
Stay well and stress free!
Big Love,
Dicky M

Wow - look at that! I didn't know that Hugh knows Bill Oddie. ;-p

Numb face? Welcome to half my world. Always handy to have something to blame the dribbling on I find. ;-)

Glad to hear things are going goodie there.

Hey Ali and Jeanette and Deirdre and Martin!!

Great to hear that you are being to well looked after there Ali. You must be enjoying the lovely food and the sunshine. We are missing you alot in Courchevel and can't wait for you to get back so we can catch up again. The instructors are all doing a torch light descent tonight from 1850 to Le Praz and then there are fireworks around the lake..wish you were here!

Matt has then invited some of the office staff round to his for tea - roast lamb and roast potatoes!

Anyway, have a relaxing time chicken and hope to see you soon.

Love you lots

ali mate, just went up for the old torchlight descent down the Face in Val as per usual (they count towards the free instructor pass here in Val) - good chat with the jonesy, gi, boycie and riggers at the top... they'd ran out of torches, so me and gi went the other way (he he!!) and cruised down freshly pisted snow all the way to La Daille under the full moon... Belter!!! Thought you'd like that one, look forward to getting on the skis with you big man!! take it easy! ps will be in annecy this sunday if you're around... dougs
