Bonjour Everyone
Well we are home now. Dad did a super job and we did the journey in 12 hours (700 miles). Mum kept us provided with food although I slept 90% of the time.Mum and dad had quite a lot of difficulty waking me up.
Looking forward to a quiet weekend at home. Still very giddy but hope to be on my turbo-trainer soon.
Thank you Bob Wilson for your blog and the support from the Gunners.
Lots of love
Ali

Hi Ali,
Glad you are back safe and sound, sounds like you have a bumper week lined up, helicopters, audi's and then it all goes down hill and you have to meet the arsenal team.... Never mind I am sure you will cope.
Have a fab time.
PS think you have brought the sunshine back with you also!! well done!!
lots of love
Nikki & Matt
Hi Ali
Seems like your old man has a bit Lewis Hamilton in him. Good work old boy! Same for the pit crew keeping pace with the food in take!
Have a great weekend and enjoy all. Understand the gunners trip may be a bit boring though!
Keep it up sunshine

Hey Ali,
Glad to have you back in this country for a little while. Have sent you a text as will probably be in the area tomorrow, so let me know if you're free for a cuppa.
Best thing about today - finally having the tooth that's been giving me PAIN pulled out of my head! Course I looked like a hamster for a while, but they're pretty cute :)
Take Care, Love to all

Welcome home Ali and well done to Di & Ian for managing the journey so well. Will be in touch.
Love from Liz & Keith xxxx
Hi Ali,
Good to hear you and the crew are home safe and sound after your marathon drive.
It was brilliant to see you again in your sunny Annecy and as we said more than a pleasure. You have been truly missed this winter up on the mountain but your fortitude and humility have continued to be an inspiration to us all.
Sounds like you are going to be impressively busy over the next wee while playing with the big boys toys. I'm looking forward to the photos - typical unstoppable Ali even when you are on your arse. Take care buddy
Love from Dave M
Dear Alistair,
pleased to hear the journey went well....mum & dad are a couple of real troopers (tenacity & love, not bad language!!)
God's best blessings to you & Jeanette & all the Rainback crew
Steve - Cagnes
Glad you had a safe journey back Ali. Although, having just had a lovely holiday in France I can completely understand why you have made it your home.
I was checking out Facebook yesterday only to find out that Ewan and the gang were singing for the Queen yesterday - wow, even the Queen can't get enough of those old gang show classics !
Have an amazing week - really looking forward to hearing all about it.

Dearest Ali
So pleased that you and your mum and dad have had a safe and quick drive home. Your dad sounds just like David zipping along the French motorways and your mum just like me, providing drinks and food along the way, reminded us of all our trips with Stewart and Sarah in the back.
We will give you a ring sometime during the next few days to see if we can arrange to come over to see you.
Hope the dizziness goes away and that you have a restful weekend.
Keep smiling Ali. We send all our love to you and the family as always.
Chris, David, Stewart, Jo, Freya, Sarah & Daniel xxxxxxxxx
Hi Ali. Still resting after the Rainback Rally? Your blog provides an image of your Dad, foot hard down heading for Herts. Your Mum doing meals on wheels, navigating and mother-henning her sleeping chick. Extreme multi-tasking that only Mums can do! Whilst you, catching Zzzzzzs, dream of high white places, hot chocolate and honking up your favorite col d'wotsit on the bike! Dreams can come true and fat will turn to muscle again. K.o.k.o. Awrabest.
Hey Ali,
Good to hear you're getting around a bit. Sean told me you were impressed with my shandy downing on the BASI video. That half was for you mate!
Hope to speak with you soon.

Evening Ali.
Right, just found my brain again after Toby's stag do, moved out of rented house to the boat, working like a dog. I dedicate my absolute miss behaviour over the last weekend to you!
Caught up with your blog and glad to hear spirits and your incredible will are as strong as ever (and your folks!) Hoping these new pills kick arse. Enjoy the coming week, sounds as though it will be a busy one with lots of fun involved.
Take care Mate. Talk soon.
Big Love and respect,
Dicky M
Dear Ali,
Great to see you are out and about and coming back to see the Arsenal, what a great experience!
Unfortunate the Hammers could not upset the show today but even I would prefer United to win the title over Chelsea?
Have a geat weekend keep smiling,
L'Sex and crew
Hi Ali
Lots of love to you and Jeanette,
Hugh & Nicki xx
Ali,
Good to hear you sounding in such good form..
Just a quick line to say if you fancy a push round kimpton for the kimpton festival make sure someone pushes you to the White Horse around 2.30pm on Monday. I play in a little rock n roll band (elvis, buddy holly etc) and we shall be making a racket for a couple of hours !It would be great to see you and to let the kids meet such a top bloke.
Hope you got the ski dvd.
Wishing you all the best
love
Neil, Emma Rebecca and daniel
Ali,
It's been a long time but hopefully you won't have completely forgotten me - it's Alex W from HSVU - one of your first skiing buddy's - remember Andorra in 1988?
Well, it's been a long time but wanted to catch up and send you all my love.
Living in Brighton now and feel completely at home amongst all the wierdo's - I fit in perfectly.! I visit Harpenden regularly with my daughter Grace - 7 months and a beautiful handful - to see my mum and dad. Mum's not well at the moment so you're in good company and Grace brightens her days. If you'd be up for a visitor, i'd love to come and see you. If you'd be up for it, you can contact me by phone on 07929 339778 or email me at a2a@hotmail.com. Lots of love and take care. Hi Ali,
glad to see you had a good time in France and admire the way you continue to do a "Joe Calzaghe" and pick yourself up off the canvas.
We've followed your Blog since being in Courchevel in January and are are thinking of you and yours.
We coined "Useless Parcels Service" for UPS after our own experiences with deliveries from them!
Robin and Olwena
Hi Ali,
Still thinking of you every day from afar.

Hello from Taiwan
Hi Ali, we're on the last leg of our 15 week trip and are spending 2 weeks with our son Rob here in steamy Taipei.
Kate has kept us up to date with your blog and we were very sorry to hear that your scan didn't give you the news that you'd hoped for.
Enjoy your special days at Arsenal and careering round in cars, no doubt you will.Your strength of spirit is an inspiration to us all!
We're thinking of you and all your family and send you our love and very best wishes.
Jeanette & Tony
Hi Ali
Have a great time with the gunners this week. Can't wait to hear all about it.
Catch up soon.
Love Paul and the girls

Hey Ali,
Went to the May Festival yesterday for the first time in over 20 years. Saw a couple of familiar faces and not a lot changes in that that neck of the woods. Saw the cows, houses, football and footballer I made for the tapestry in situ for the first time - that was quite cool.
Didn't really appreciate it at the time but such a pretty place. I always tell people I grew up in somewhere just like Dibley and now there's even a female Vicar - whatever next??!!
Shame I didn't get to see you, but perhaps another time. Hope you're having a lovely relaxing weekend and looking forward to all the exciting things you're up to this week. We expect lots of nice photos on the blog after your visit to the Arsenal - shame Thierry's not still there - yum!
Take care, love to all
J-A

Stay strong Ali.
Lots of love Paul G
Hi Ali,
