Bonjour Everyone!
We're back at the bungalow in Welwyn now and ready to do nothing today. Well, actually there are a few things to do like insurance and paperwork but you don't need to know about that!
We had a super weekend at Lower Farm and yesterday were going to do something after Jeanette had finished work but I was sleeping for England! I got up, had breakker then went to bed and slept until 4pm! I could hardly get up the stairs again. That is actually quite scary. I had Jeanette pushing my bum and me on all fours. scrambling up the stairs. Good job we've come back to the Bungalow! It's a weird sort of tiredness. My legs just start to collapse and I sort of come in and out of conciseness - scary! I need to be prepared for it and generally I am. I wasn't in the cinema with Si and J whilst watching the Golden Compass. I snored so loudly that I woke myself up! They had to carry me out at the end!
Then we went for a curry in St Albans with mum and dad last night which, as always, was awesome. Thanks for dinner dad.
So, actually there is quite a lot to organise before leaving so we'll get through this paperwork.
As you can probably guess, feeling okay this morning. It's grim outside but hey, that happens here. I guess it's what's inside that makes you feel good. Less than 2 weeks and counting!
Love
Ali

For some random reason when I was thinking about you the other day I remembered the infamous Cova 'nightclub' when we went skiing in Italy.
Can you remember we were banned from going and we all started singing 'We're going to the Cova' on the coach and the leaders went mad.
We then started singing - 'we're staying out til 1 o'clock 'and when they finally lost it we sang 'we're sleeping at the cova.'
Who would want to be a venture leader with us lot :-)
Hi Ali,
So we have drawn each other in the next round! I hope I'm not working and can catch the game in the Bubble, where will you be watching it?
Cheers,
Rob rtm
Hey Ali, Keep strong bruv, we are all excited about you coming down to the coast at the weekend, a bit of sea air will do you good. Looking forward to seeing you tomorrow. Lots of love, Si, Jo & da boys.
Hi Ali
At last I've cracked the technology - been meaning to write for ages. It's been good talking to you recently, your positive attitude is inspiring.
In the olden days, I used to enjoy going to Highbury, and Stamford Bridge. Any interest I had in Chelsea disappeared with the Russian Revolution, but I still love to watch Arsenal.
Stay strong
All the best
Bill

Thinking of you, remember the lastest research shows that the body remembers health, as you rest replay in your mind your favourite days skiing and it will help your body remember it's balance points(as long as there weren't huge wipeouts!!) which will help your equilibrium recover quicker.
Big hugs,
Sue
Hey Ali,
Richie and I are back in the UK after teaching your alcoholic GAP students a thing or two about First Aid! Great bunch this year and all the courses went really well. So shocked to hear your news. Let us know if you are up for any visiters as we are not far from you and would love to pop by for a cuppa. Stay strong. Flora and Richie XXX
Hi Ali
Thought this joke might make you smile - two Irishmen on a building site find 3 unexploded WW2 bombs one says to the other "What shall we do?" second one says "Take them to the police station in our wheelbarrow" first one "What shall we do if one explodes?" second one "Tell them we only found 2".
Keep in good spirits Ali, don't dwell on negative things, think of the sun on the snow and the fresh clean air in the Alps not long til you go back.
Love as always to you Jeannette and your family
Christine xx
Hello Boyo,
Literally just heard your news from Richie and Flo, what a shocker. Really sorry mate. However, of all the people I know, if anyone has got the zest for life and fun loving outlook to beat one of those things, its you.
Keep strong mate an remember that when all your northern hemisphere well wishers are asleep, the positive thoughts are still coming from us down under!
Check this out as well, you may have brain issues at them moment but it could be worse... you could be American...

Hey Ali and Jet
I have not logged onto the blog for a week or so and have just caught up with everything. Sorry to have been so distant.
Well it seems to me that things are looking up. no more buzzy machine. steroids on the way out, more and more energy each day and you are planning a trip back to France. get in! Don't be surprised that things might be tough for you both over the next few weeks of uncertainty. remaining focussed on getting better is the definitely the way forward and enjoying the ever increasing healthy moments in each day.
look forward to seeing you both soon
Big love
Tim

This site might be able to offer you a VIP trip to the Emirates Stadium. I know some Arsenal fans who have had a great day out.

Hi again mate.
It was great chatting to you on Skype the other day, get that headset sorted out and we will have a good yarn and see if either of us can actually remember anything from college all those years ago. Your story of how you got up the stairs also reminds me of the end of many a night at college.
Take care mate and big thinking shrink going on downunder.
Cheers
Mish
Hello Ali! Crikey I haven't blogged for ages - sorry. So we have another countdown on our hands yey! so we're on what 13 days to go til we get you back out here? 13 to go..........
I've discovered these epic drinks they're just over a shot of liquid but crammed in there is 200g of pure fruit. A gimmick I'm sure, but they make you feel great! AND (have I not sold them to you yet?) you only have to lift you arm once to neck it, so think of the energy saving so you'll be able to get up the stairs then! Keep strong and enjoy your good days as and when they come along...there will be more. Can't wait to see you out here love Janey xx
Hi Ali
David and I just wanted you to know how much we are thinking about you. We only found out this week that you have been having such a rough time. It was such a shock to us. How could our bright cheerful Ali come down with something like this. You are the fit one, living life to the full, enjoying the fresh air and beautiful mountains - we are sure with your fighting spirit you will soon be back in those beautiful mountains. We are out in Val D'Isere in April with the Daily Mail Ski Magazine, New Gen are providing their usual support one day of the week and we are hoping very much that we will see you then. That drink with you in Val D'Isere last time was great and we want to do that again this year. See you in April! Keep smiling Ali, we are with you all the way.
Much Love
Chris, David, Sarah, Dan, Stewart, Jo and Freya xxxx

Finally I have worked out how to send you a message on your Blog! The family keep me up to date with all the news but it was good to read it for myself, in your own words.
It will be good for you both to get back to your own home. I am sure, being in familar surroundings and the wonderful air, you will progress quickly. Don't think, just because I am on the other side of the world, I don't think about you. I do every day and now just want you to get back to your old happy self.By the way, don't worry about cellulite, most people suffer from of it at some stage, Just some worse than others!
Lots of love
Pat
